Nice apartment in the heart of the old Barcelona with wooden ceilings and sunny terrace on a fifth floor without elevator. The owner, expert in oriental decoration, has filled this place with beautiful details and colonial style furniture. In the spacious living room there is a sofa bed for two guests and another simple sofa to sit and watch TV; on the ceiling there is a fan. From the living room you can access the small and furnished kitchen with gas cooker and dinner table; at the end of the corridor there is another double bed located just besides the bedroom that allows you to access the sunny 12m2 terrace or the indipendent double bedroom with queen size bed. The bathroom has bathtub. Perfect apartment for those who want to experience the atmospehre of the old Barcelona and the spacious terrace with a view on Montjiuic, 5 minutes from the Ramblas and Plaza Real.
The Gothic Quarter is one of the oldest and most interesting areas in Barcelona. First of all because of Las Ramblas, the very famous 2-kilometer long boulevard that runs from Plaça de Catalunya, the very heart of Barcelona, to Barcelona´s port, showing what is perhaps the essence of Barcelona. Furthermore, the Gothic Quarter is known for its many ruins of old fortifications, which still remain from the time the Romans ruled. In the streets Carrer de Ferran and Carrer Jaume I as well as in all the narrow streets in the upper part ,you can find all kinds of interesting and trendy shops, lot of nice restaurants and bars, which are worth a visit. Places of interest:Plaça del Rei, Plaça Reial and, of course, the Cathedral, Bouqueria Market. |
